Winston Churchill's reaction to the 1938 Munich agreement was noted during his postwar memoirs. In his statement, he compared the countries of Germany and Poland to cultures who were after the dying carcass of the Czechoslovakia. Churchill was not happy about the Munich agreement, because what happened to Czechoslovakia was a considered a betrayal of the United Kingdom and France, that according to the people of Czechoslovakia "About us, without us", because the country was not invited on the said conference which agenda was mainly about Czechoslovakia.
