Respuesta :

The economic motives of Imperialism are new markets, cheap labor, and more resources.

Explanation:

The Imperialism was practiced by multiple countries. The reasons for the imperialism have mostly been of economic nature, while the other factors have always been behind this one. The economic motives were mostly:

  • gaining access to resources
  • cheap labor
  • opening new markets
  • gaining wealth

Basically, when an imperialist country was going to conquer a territory, they immediately focused on getting all the useful resources available. The resources were often sent back to the homeland, so that they can drive and develop the industry. In order to get the resources, the native people were forced to work, and they were paid little to nothing for their work, thus they were the cheapest possible labor force. Once the industry was going to manufacture goods, the conquered territories were used as a market for selling those goods. All in all, everything was perfectly adjusted so that enormous amounts of wealth can be obtained.
