The studio was first sold to Buena Vista Games which Disney then bought and renamed the studio to the name "Disney Interactive Studios." The company then worked with Disney and made Interactive games. However, that was closed in 2016 by Disney who decided to close the entire department down.

In 2017, the company was sold again and this time it was to Warner Bros. They then rehired the founder, John Blackburn, as the CEO, and started the studio back up.
