A 16-year-old boy has an upcoming examination in his math course. Although he's generally good at math, he's feeling a
tremendous amount of pressure because he has always achieved high grades. Lately he's been experiencing the
following symptoms: headaches, lower back pain, constant worry, an inability to relax, and a tendency toward isolating
himself from others. His parents are concerned and want to help. They take him to a therapist who has expertise in
stress reduction. Demonstrate the way in which the counselor could work with this young man to help him relax now
and in the future.

Answer:

My daughter has experienced stress and anxiety since she was born. We thought it was due to many things.  She was labeled. Adhd/Anxiety/ SPD/OCD you name it.  We tired so many things over the years.  CBT which is Cognitive Behavior Therapy etc.  These did nothing for her.  It turns out that it really all goes down to PDST.  Yes from when she was born.  She was in distress and was a C-section baby.

She has claustrophobia when it comes to being too close to tables etc.   So we are trying tapping which is EFT emotional freedom techniques,  (which has to do with the energy system and your acupuncture/acupressure points etc), and EDMR which is eye movement therapy which goes into the lower like lizard brain which is more reactionary.  Sounds crazy but  the other things have not worked at all.  We are staring to see some progress.  Also diet etc helps.  Look into it. Maybe it can help with his stress.  My daughter's is off the charts, like she has to go into another room and take more time and has a service animal stress.
