The jazz music and musicians had a great impact i.e. positive or negative effect on the American culture.  

Fashion, poetry and Civil Rights movement was effected by jazz music. The style of clothing changed in order to make it easier for the people to dance on the jazz tunes and music. Poetry was also evolved as a result of jazz music.

The Women's Liberation Movement was promoted by jazz music, as it provided means of rebellion against set standards of society. This jazz music is also responsible for the loss of ancient tradition and values of American society so we can conclude that jazz music and musicians had a great impact i.e. positive or negative effect on the American culture.
