Constitutional monarchies and Representative democracies

Explanation:

A constitutional monarchy refers to a governance style where a monarch (in hereditary possession) is the nominal head of the state under the limits set by the constitution. People elect their representatives (indirect democracy) and the government rule the country/state. E.g. United Kingdom (UK) is the best available example of Constitutional monarchy currently.

Representative democracy refers to a type of indirect democracy where people elect their representatives to rule on behalf of them. Most of the western democracies are representative democracies. E.g. American Democracy- here people elect their senate who rule for a fixed time showcasing the popular mandate he received in the election.
