2x + 3y = 8.25 ------- eqn 2
Solve eqn 1 and eqn 2
Multiply eqn 1 by 2
6x + 4y = 16 ------ eqn 3
Multiply eqn 2 by -3
-6x - 9y = - 24.75 ------- eqn 4
Add eqn 3 and eqn 4
6x + 4y = 16
-6x - 9y = - 24.75

5y = 8.75
y = 1.75
Substitute y = 1.75 in eqn 1
