Answer:

Emergence of the new deal

Explanation:

During the great depression in the 1930s which caused severe financial crisis and problems including unemployment, hunger and poverty, The federal government under Franklin Delano Roosevelt intervened with some programs to help alleviate the problems. These include; hiring of the unemployed through civilian conservative corps and work project Administration.

This New Deal that emerged during the Great Depression is a set of domestic policies. which expanded the role of the federal government in response to the great depression. The new deal created programs that provided economic relief to the suffering masses and also to grow the economy.  Some of these include;

1. The Agricultural Adjustment Act( AAA). Government subsidies were offered to farmers which boosted agricultural prices.

2. The Federal Emergence Relief Act: This gave federal grants to state that funded salaries for government workers.

3. The Federal Conservative Corps: Which employed young individuals at federal government funded jobs. etc

The New deal by Roosevelt was partially successful although the supreme court ruled against several new deal initiatives  in 1935.

It relates to me personally today because key elements in the new deal still remain with us today including the federal regulation of wages, hours,collective bargaining rights, child labour etc.
