Scale:

3 cm = 1 m

4.2 ÷ 3 = 1.4 m

7.8 ÷ 3 = 2.6 m

New dimensions:

4.2 cm = 1.4 m

7.8 cm = 2.6 m
Because 3 is 1.5x the size of 2, you have to multiply the rectangle measurements by 1.5

So

4.2x1.5=6.3cm
7.8x1.5=11.7cm
