Avian Flu (Bird Flu): Bird flu is an influenza type condition found mainly in birds caused by virus, H5N1 being most deadly strain. Most wild birds can carry the virus but are not infected ie do not show symptoms but domestic birds easily get infected. The virus can get transmitted to and infect humans also. The method of transmission is through contact with secretions and excretions of birds or close surface contact.  Thus people working at poultry  farms are at great risk. Human to human transmission is rare but possible  through close contact only. It doesn't transmit by eating well cooked eggs or meat.

Cat Scratch Disease (CSD): Cat scratch disease (CSD) is an illness caused by the bacterium Bartonella henselae. Almost half of all cats carry the infection at some point. The infection does not make cats sick. However, the scratch or bite of an infected cat can cause symptoms in people. The disease spreads when an infected cat licks a person's open wound, or bites or scratches a person hard enough to break the surface of the skin.
