Pythagoras theorem

The square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides of a triangle.

Given:

Let us consider one length i.e. 26 to be Perpendicular and other length i.e. 27 to be Base.

According to the Pythagoras theorem:

[tex]\text{Hypotenuse}^2=\text{Perpendicular}^2+\text{Base}^2\\[/tex]

Let us consider the value of Hypotenuse to be x.

[tex]x^2=26^2+24^2\\\\x^2=676+576\\\\x^2=1252\\\\x=\sqrt{1252} \\\\x=35.38[/tex]

Thus, from the value of x we can infer that the given lengths are not forming Pythagorean triple.
