State five (5) differences between mass and weight.
Differentiate between scalar and vector quantities with examples.

Respuesta :

Answer:

Mass is the measurement of what amount of matter is contained in an object. Whereas

weight is the measurement the pull of gravity on an object.

Another way to differentiate both is Mass is measured on a balance comparing a known amount a matter of to an unknown amount of matter and weight is measured on a scale.

Unlike weight, mass never changes due to the location of something. The mass of an object is measuring how much matter is in it.

Weight usually is denoted by W. Weight is mass multiplied by the acceleration of gravity.

Scalar quantity: one dimensional measurement of a quantity, like temperature, or mass. Vector: more than one number associated with it. Ex: Displacement, speed, velocity.
