Choose the point-slope form of the equation below that represents the line that passes through the points (−6, 4) and (2, 0).

Respuesta :

(-6,4)(2,0)
slope = (0 - 4) / (2 - (-6) = -4 / (2 + 6) = -4 / 8 = -1/2

point slope form = y - y1 = m(x - x1)
slope(m) = -1/2
(-6,4)...x1 = -6 and y1 = 4
now we sub
y - 4 = -1/2(x - (-6) = y - 4 = -1/2(x + 6) <====

OR

y - y1 = m(x - x1)
slope(m) = -1/2
(2,0)...x1 = 2 and y1 = 0
now we sub
y - 0 = -1/2(x - 2) <===

there can be 2 answers....depending on what points u use
