There are two alleles in the plant namely the Tt and Ss genotypes. Gametes have a copy of each gene. The gametes that can be made are TS, Ts, tS, st. TTSS, TTSs, TTss, TtSS, TtSs, Ttss, ttSS, ttSs, and ttss are the possible combinations of the genotypes of its gametes.

Answer: The plant having TtSs genotype can produce four different types of gametes, whose genotypes are- TS, Ts, tS, ts.

The plant with genotype TtSs represents two different genes that are present in the heterozygous state ( that is Tt and Ss).

As per the Mendel's law of segregation, during the process gamete formation, the variant of a gene ( also called allele) is segregated from one other so that gamete carries only one allele for the gene.

Thus, the plant with TtSs genotype produces gametes with the genotype- TS, Ts, tS, ts.
