He had gotten an anonymous tip about suspicious activity in the pharmacy. Before setting out, he radioed the situation to the cops who were duty within that area calling for backup.
Just then, the glass of the passengers' side shattered and something whizzed past his face. He quickly put the gear in park, opened his door and without raising his ducked head alighted. Another bullet smashed the dashboard. He knew he had to be very careful. His life depended on it. His assailant could see him. He couldn't. He did a quick recon and just then spotted the figure in a green hooded top getting away quickly.
With his heart pumping adrenaline-laced blood round his body at about 95 millilitres per second he calculated his options and decided that to take a shot. He hit his target in the thigh sending him to the ground. Now standing over the young pleading teenager who just robbed the pharmacy, he said: "you get justice in the next world, in this world you have the law".
