When cars age or are poorly maintained, they tend to peak oil onto roadways and parking lots. This oil is washed into the nearest waterway with the next rainfall. What type of water pollution does this cause?
Oil cannot dissolve, or disintegrate, in water. This causes it to form into a thick sludge substance. Which then gets caught in Birds feathers or harm the marine life.
