Conglomerates are clastic sedimentary rocks with usually rounded edges. Clastic sedimentary rocks are rocks made up of pieces of preexisting rocks. The particles of the preexisting rocks are loosened by weathering and later this individual particles become cemented by a binding agent.

Conglomerates has large clast(grains) and usually quartz and calcite bind the particle together. The rounded clasts can be a mineral composition of feldspar and quartzite, formed from igneous , metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. This rocks are formed from the accumulation of this rounded clast and the availability of cementing agents like calcite to bind the particles together.
