Voting is important due to the fact that it will determine who will be the rightful leader of the United States. It can make us or break us. It determines what will happen with the education systems, taxes and bills. Voting for a president will determine the next 4 years of what happens to us as American citizens.

The law does not require citizens to vote, but voting is a very important part of any democracy. By voting, citizens are participating in the democratic process. Citizens vote for leaders to represent them and their ideas, and the leaders support the citizens' interests. It’s so important to understand what you are voting about. AltaMed has guides with information about the propositions on the upcoming ballot here and here. Voting is already underway, so read up, take notes, and be sure to vote early. This year’s election goes beyond who will be president. Your vote is your voice on issues affecting housing, education, employment and healthcare.

Hope this helps!
