It's now required many places worldwide to wear a mask while out in public. About 57% of people lost their jobs throughout the world. All unemployed citizens could apply for an unemployment program. The unemployment program is where the government will pay you every so often so that you can still provide for your family. Although this was good news to some, it also had detrimental damage to small business owners. The unemployment program did nothing to encourage jobless citizens to look for a job because they didn't need to work to be paid, leaving many businesses without employees to function.
When the virus struck America school was canceled. Students were forced to continue their academics online. This made school easy and more convenient for a lot, but it was hard to stay on top of their education and keep up for others. Today school has been in session since August, but students are required to wear masks and social distance. Many schools only give students 3-4 out of 7 periods they would usually have. Others continue normal activities. Many families still resorted to virtual learning.
The pandemic also had detrimental effects on sports. All baseball, basketball, football, etc. were canceled due to the virus. Today all sports are back in session but no one is allowed to attend the games, only watch it from their television. This doesn't help the teams to make as much money as before. Each teammate gets tested every day, and many have been tested positive.
In conclusion, the pandemic hasn't brought much other than bad things this year. Make sure to wear your mask and social distance. Stay safe.
