The process of photosynthesis takes place in some of the bacteria and plants, in which sunlight is used to convert water and carbon dioxide into the usable carbohydrates, that is, sugar and oxygen.

On the other hand, the process of chemosynthesis takes place in bacteria and some of the organisms, which uses the energy obtained from the inorganic chemical reactions to generate carbohydrates. All the chemosynthetic species use energy discharged from chemical reactions to produce sugar.

Thus, the two processes are photosynthesis and chemosynthesis.
