Nomads  would usually follow herds of animals so they could hunt and eat. Along the way, they would also gather food such as wild berries, nuts and greens to eat. At first they did not know where their next meal would be so they just traveled and traveled until they reached Mesopotamia. They discovered that it is easier to plant and grow food there since the land is fertile. That is because they are in a river alley. Thus, Mesopotamia, which means "Land Between The Rivers." They are between two rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates which helped irrigate the lands for them to till and farm. They also learned how to tame animals instead of pure hunting.

Hope this helps. Have a nice day!
