Why do you think consumers are given rights by law? Have you ever been in a situation and used these consumer rights, or know someone who has? For example, have you ever bought a product that was defective?
There would definitely be stores that wouldn’t accept defective items. Businesses and cooperations would 100% take advantage of costumers if they could. If you’re asking for personal stories: Once I bought a loaf of bread and it was moldy when I brought it home (long before the expectation date) so they had to give me a new loaf. ♀️
