The Middle East is a region that has had big problems for quite some time now. The problems mainly have occurred because of political and religious reasons. It is something that has started with the crumbling of the Ottoman Empire and continues to this day.

The Middle East, in big portion, got under the rule of the Western powers. That didn't last long, but the rulers, before granting independence to the countries of the region created and implemented borders in accordance with their interests, leading to the partitioning of the Middle East and creating long-term problems. The tensions and problems just increased when after World War II, the Jewish people were granted Israel as a piece of land to form their own country. This led to several wars in the region and a lot of hatred. The dictators and terrorist organizations didn't help the region with their activities too, giving a reason to foreign countries to attack them, overthrow them, and create even bigger chaos, as was the war in Iraq. Last but not least, the people have had enough of their oppressive rulers and tried to take them down so that democratic societies can be organized, which also led to a lot of violence and chaos.
