Significant digit rules when adding and multiplying?!? I really need help explaining them with enough info as if someone else didn't know how to round with them. I REALLY NEED HELP! MY CLASS IS ENDING IN TWO DAYS.

When you have a formula with + or - you count the number of significant numbers and the lowest answer gives you the amount of numbers you have to write after the ' , '. So if you have 10 + 0,01 the answer is 1 *10^1 because you aren't allowed to use more than one number.

When you have a formula with * or / you do practically the same. You count the numbers and the lowest answer gives you the amount of numbers you use after the ' , '. So 10 * 0,01 gives 1 *10^-1
