in the poem, “The Battle of Blenheim,” Wilhelmine stated that the battle was a “wicked thing” while Kaspar said it was a “great victory.” Which position do you support? Do you think the battle was a wicked thing or a great victory? Why do support this position? Use evidence from the text to support your answer.

As I'm sure you know, "After Blenheim" is an anti-war poem written by English Romantic poet laureate Robert Southey in 1796. I cant give you any text evidence as you have to quote it directly. Also this is a personal input question so I'll just give you my response to copy if you want:)  (its below)

My response:)

While the battle was quite the feat, it was also very much "wicked" as stated by Willhelmine. I believe this because while any battle can help lead to good, no form of war itself will ever be good because of all the terrible things that happen.
