Answer:

Answer is below

Explanation:

a. This political cartoon is a representation of the peace treaty between Germany and the allied powers. The hand gripping the man represents the allied powers, which are America, the British empire, Japan, Italy, and France as represented by the names on the hand. The pill on the spoon represents the treaty of Versailles, and the man being forced to eat the pill is Germany. The pill bottle represents the four main requirements Germany had to make in order to have peace with the allied powers.

b. The message of this cartoon is that the allied powers forced a treaty onto Germany, and that "they had to accept it rather they like it or not" as stated in the cartoon.

c. It is trying to convince the reader of why the illustrator or writer believes that the Treaty of Versailles was wrong. It is trying to show the unfair treatment Germany was dealt with in result of the treaty.

d. Yes, I do agree with the message of this cartoon. According to the Britannica Encyclopedia, Germany was not present when these rules for the treaty were being made. As they had no say in the requirements for peace, much of what they had was given to other countries in payment. So, I do agree with the cartoon's message.

Hope this helps!
