the number of different bond angles for the most polar isomer of Pbr2F3 is?
A. 7
B. 6
C. 5
D. 8

Respuesta :

The number of different bond angles is 6 and here you have the different angles:
Br(ax)-P-Br(eq) ..... greater than 90 degrees (axial to equatorial)
Br(eq)-P-F(ax) ...... greater than 90 degrees (equatorial to axial)
Br(ax)-P-F(eq) ...... less than 90 degrees (axial to equatorial)
F(ax)-P-F(eq) ........ less than 90 degrees (axial to equatorial)
F(eq)-P-F(eq) ........ less than 120 degree (equatorial)
Br(eq)-P-F(eq) ...... greater than 120 degrees (equatorial)
