We can also relate this to one of Fayol's 14 principles of management. Henry Fayol was the founder father of administrative management and he formulated 14 principles in order to ensure the smooth functioning of an organisation.
One among his 14 principles was "Subordination of individual interest into common interest". This principle states that an individual should work together with the organisation with a view to attain organisation's goals and considering such goals as their own goals.
This will help the organisation in achieving its goals on time and will eventually result in the growth of individual with the growth of organisation.
Therefore this principle of merging individual interests and common interest can help the attainment of common vision by community participants working together with the community.
