1. Christian is saving money to buy a new bike that costs $189. He has saved $99 so far. He plans on saving $10 each week. In how many weeks will Christian have enough money to buy the new bike?

189=10x+99
x=amount of weeks
x=9 weeks
It would take christian 9 weeks to save the rest of the money.

189-99 =90 (take away the money he has saved already from the goal to see how much money he needs.

90 ÷ 10 = 9
