Through an abnormality found upon my birth, I was born with an extra pinky toe, and with it came many intrusive thoughts. After a certain age, age 7 in fact, I became incredibly self-conscious, and the aforementioned thoughts became commonplace in my frontal lobe. Reflections like "I wish I was normal," and "Why was I born this way?" were incredibly common thoughts I would bring up. No one listened or cared to share advice until the 8th grade. By that point, I was largely comfortable with my genetic appendage and never paid it much mind. However, that all changed on the day I mentioned my extra toe to my best friend, a well-known gossipmonger in my school. It was then that everyone knew, and the day I decided not to attend high school next year. It started as a rumor, grew to insane proportions, and will remain a mystery from now on, unknown to all except who I trust.
