In 1994, pieces of a comet hit Jupiter very hard. Fragment G entered Jupiter's atmosphere. When it struck, fragments flew out. The impact site has a cloud over it. This cloud has two rings around it. One is thin. The other is thick. The thicker ring is outside of the thin ring. The planet Earth would fit inside the thicker ring. Both rings are smaller than Fragment G.
