On Wednesday, Abby and Lauren could not practice together, so they practiced separately. Abby practiced for 11/12 of an hour and Lauren practiced for 2/3 of an hour. How long did they practice in Wednesday?

make the denominators the same by multiplying 2/3 by 4

[tex] \frac{11}{12} + \frac{8}{12} [/tex]

Now you can add them together and get
