We have the rational expression G/h + 8/h. Both fractions have the same denominator h so the denominator of their sum is obviously h. All we need to do is find the numerator. When 2 fractions have the same denominator (Which is necessary to add and subtract), the numerator of the answer is the sum of the numerators of the fractions we're adding. So the numerator of the answer is G+8. Of course, we can't add them because G is a variable and 8 is a number, so just leave it like that.

So G/h + 8/h = (G+8)/h

Hope this Helps! :)

G/h + 8/h = ?/h

As you can see, there is h is denominator on both RHS & LHS.
So, you can eliminate it & can consider all numerators as a whole at a time.
Then, it will be:
G+8 = G+8

So, your final answer is G+8

Hope this helps!
