Vasco Núñez de Balboa was a Spanish explorer who made his way to America in the 1500s and was also known for being the first recorded European to see and experience the Pacific Ocean.
His travels were well documented and written about by some authors who recorded him coming face to face with a tiger or lion in one of his expeditions where he also climbed a mountain alone.
Balboa trates the Indians he meets unfairly and threatens his fellow Spaniards not to follow him or trouble him because they will be met by deadly force
