A company ordered 10 boxed lunches from a deli for $74.50. Each boxed lunch cost the same amount. Which equation represents the proportional relationship between y, the total cost of the boxed lunches, and x, the number of boxed lunches? A) 7.45x = y B) 7.45/x = 10/y C)74.50x = y D. 74.50/x = 10/y

Respuesta :

We would need to figure out the price per boxed lunch from the deli. Therefore, we need to divide $74.50 by 10 to get $7.450, or $7.45, per boxed lunch.

Knowing that x is the number of boxed lunches and the company would have to pay $7.45 per box we can just do 7.45x = y where y is the total cost for the lunches.
the answer would be A, due to dividing the cost by the number of lunch boxes
