However now that factories were a thing and were run by machines, this made most people lose their jobs. Since having a machine create something was a lot faster than having somebody do it by hand. Because of this if families wanted money they would have to move closer in cities to work in factories. Some negatives effect of this was the fact that there weren't enough houses for the new families moving closer to the city to work in factories. In order to solve this, the wealthy who owned these factories supported the building of new houses in the area for more people to live in the city. Giving them more workers.
