The imperialism in Asia was very bad for the local populations and also for the development of the countries for the future. The population was oppressed, beaten up, even killed, on the verge of existence, and forced to do very hard work for the interests and benefit of the imperial governments. Also, a solid portion of the natural resources that were known in that period were taken out of the Asian countries and thus enable the imperial countries to develop more because of them, while making a big blow for the future development of the Asian countries that were left with empty mines.
