The one that contributed to united states' economic weakness at the beginning of the revolutionary war was: the lack of authority to collect taxes

Lack authority to collect taxes made it extremely difficult for the central government to create proper planning for its future programs since they can predict its future income. Because of this, untied states experienced weakness at the beginning of revolutionary war and forced to ask assistance from other European countries.
