At the conclusion of the story, the animals' quality of life is worse than the pigs and dogs. In "Animal Farm", by George Orwell, the animals at the beginning of the story according to Old Major are going to be equal when they rebel against human beings who oppress them. After the revolution, the pigs are brain-workers, and the obvious leaders so they are entitled to eat the best food and sleep in beds. The dogs are the guards of the pigs so they too have privileges.
