Cassandra Extavour almost chose a career as a soprano .Instead, she set out to learn how single cells create the rich soundtrack of evolution. Homeostasis is the process by which living cells keep their internal environment constant. Maintaining homeostasis is very important because the survival of the living organism depend on it; a cell which can not maintain constant internal environment will die.

Cell theory states that all living things are made of cells. And cells can only come from other cells, this disproves spontaneous generation and therefore proves the view that organisms can grow from food or dirt is wrong.
