Lack of knowledge or guidance for hand hygiene, lack of recognition of hand hygiene opportunities during patient care also lack of awarness of cross transmission of infection are barriers to good hand hygene practices.
There are some reasons of non adherence to hand hygiene were investigated , it was found that there are some factors which effects lack of training and experience, being physician, insisting on non- adherence.
Global hand campaign in 2009 which is celebrated on 5 may as a world hand hygiene day , its aim to maintain global promotion, visibility and sustainability of hand hygiene in health in health care and bring people together.
