- As ice fields above Lake Erie clogged at the river's source in 1848, the Falls mostly only stopped once for 30 hours.
- During the busiest daytime hours of the Summer, more than 168,000 cubic meters, or 6 million cubic feet, of water flow so over Horseshoe Falls every minute.
