American author Louise Erdrich wrote the book "The Round House".

"The Round House", Erdrich's fourteenth book, is a part of her "justice trilogy," which also includes The Plague of Doves, which was published in 2008, and LaRose, which was published in 2016.

"The Round House" tells the tale of Joe Coutts, a 13-year-old kid who, fed up with the inadequate investigation into his mother's horrific attack, enlists the aid of his closest pals, Cappy, Angus, and Zack, to track down his mother's assailant.

The Round House is set on an Ojibwe reserve in North Dakota, like the majority of Erdrich's prior works.

"The Round House" novel suggests-

Because it served as the location for the assault of Joe's mother, Clemence, the circular home has been assigned the title's center position.

The irony that it was designed to keep people together yet ultimately tore them apart is what gives it its significance.

At the Round House, Mayla is sexually assaulted and killed, leaving her infant without a mother. Additionally, Clemence is sexually assaulted, which mentally devastates both she and her son Joe. How a location that is supposed to be so tranquil can actually be so harmful to such innocent people is incredibly ironic.
