Each character within the story "The town Tales" are thought of allegoric as a result of they represent the various aspects of society in their times.
The narration is taken into account as allegoric work as a result it signifies different instances than what's really happening within the story. The journey within the story symbolizes the journey of man from Earth to the heavens wherever town symbolizes heaven.
The tale has many spiritual characters who don't represent the normal characteristics of the church. The Catholic Church had nice management over places like a European country, Ireland, and Europe throughout the ordinal Century, and was very loaded. I think the characters from the tale represent the greed and corruption occurring throughout this point involving the Catholic Church. this can be why you see characters like the mother superior, who was smitten by appearance and fine things. this can be why they describe her accessories as accessorial to her outfit.
