Very often the immigration is happening in a quick and unplanned manner, as it is in the past few years. The host countries, in order to help the people in need, are opening their borders and allow much more people to enter their countries that what they have planned.
That immediately creates an economic problem, as there's more people than what was predicted and planned, and there's no way to predict how productive will the new comers be in the host country's economy.
Usually that results in more money being spent from the budgets for support for the immigrant families, as they need integration, to learn the language, and upgrade their skills, in order to adjust to the labor market. While that process goes on, lot of money are spent from the budget in order to achieve that goal. On the long run, it may be very productive and good, or to not work at all, depending on the policies, and on the different scenarios.
