Mass media and culture tried to take news to a national level. This improvement helped inform citizens of the events that happened throughout the country.

Answer: Mass media created national culture because the number of people who read the newspaper increased in large amounts, and national magazines grew as well, however the most powerful of the mass media was the radio, it grew into national networks. This all gave Americans more money to spend and more leisure time to spend it, and the growing mass media entertainment industry caused money to be spent on tickets supporting events in larger amounts, and also athletes in many sports set new records. Movies, magazines, and radios helped create a new national culture.
