For the reaction N2(g) + 3H2(g) 2NH3(g), what will happen if hydrogen gas was removed from the reaction mixture?

There will be a shift toward the products.

There will not be a shift in equilibrium.

There will be a shift toward the reactants.

The value for Keq will change.

Respuesta :

Since Hydrogen is a reactant, if some of it is removed, then the equilibrium wll shift to the reactant side to make up for the lost hydrogen. Now that the equilibrium has shifted, the value for Keq will also change.

Hope I helped! xx
There will be a shift toward the reactants. Just answered this question on a test and got it right.
