Weathering is different from erosion. Erosion is the movement of rock pieces and sediment from one area to another. Weathering is the breaking down of rocks and erosion is a wearing away of rocks. There are two main types of weathering: physical (or mechanical) weathering and chemical weathering.

~Bam! there we go! XD i hope being silly helps to :P
The definition of erosion is the effect of eroding or being eroded, by natural elements such as wind, water, and ice.

Physical weathering is a scientific term used that refers to the process of rocks breaking down without their chemical composition being changed. The movements of earth cause the rock to break out of formation. You see, the earth moves at hundreds of millions of miles at this second, but its going so fast it doesn't seem like its moving. I hope this helps.

Have a wonderful rest of the day.
