identify two similes in the poem stolen rivers, discuss their possible meanings, and consider if the similes are effective within the context of the poem

Respuesta :

1.  like haunted children, how can we, how can we even begin to redress?
2.
gold poured out of your mouth in song;

For number 1, haunted children don't set things right, but do the opposite.
For number two, the simile means that the song coming out of your mouth is so perfect, it's like gold.

Hope this helps!
