 Answer: Abolitionists

Please give me the brainly answer !!!
  • Frederick Douglass was a social reformer, abolitionist and writer. He escaped slavery in Maryland and gained nototiety due to his writings and oratory. His book Narrative on the Life of Frederick Douglass became extremely famous and was very influential in the abolitionist movement.
  • William Lloyd Garrison was an American abolitionist, suffragist and social reformer. He was the editor of The Liberator, an abolitionist newspaper and one of the founders of the American Anti-Slavery Society, which defended "immediate emancipation" of slaves.
  • John Brown was an American abolitionist who defended armed insurrection as the way to overthrow slavery.  In October 1859, an attempted attack in Virginia went wrong, and Brown was tried for treason, murder and inciting a slave insurrection. He was hanged.

All three men were abolitionists, which meant that they wanted slavery in the United States to end and slaves to be liberated.
